I am Cynthia (Cyndi) Soule Levesque. I’m a retired environmental manager and part-time writer. My husband of 25 years and I live in San Antonio, Texas and are now raising three grandchildren! We also enjoy three rescue dogs including a 98-pound German shepherd.
After obtaining a B.S degree in Biology from Texas A&M University (Gig ‘Em!) I was a missionary teacher in Central America, and then obtained an M.S. degree in environmental management. Over a 27-year environmental career at the local electric utility, I obtained air and water permits for power plants and helped to ensure environmental compliance.
At age 49, I decided to pursue another graduate degree in Christian Ministry. In 2008, I early retired and we moved to mainland China. I taught English at a college for two years and at the registered Protestant Chinese church for four years. We returned to San Antonio in 2012 and do volunteer work at our local Baptist church and other places. We love to travel and recently visited beautiful Nova Scotia. Three of our grandchildren – Clark (11), Sara (13) and Danielle (14) now live with us, attending school. This keeps us pretty busy!
My first book, Backcut was published in November, 2014 by Deep River Books. I decided to write Backfill, my second book to be largely based on my own career. The publisher, Austin Brothers Publishing based out of Fort Worth, has done an outstanding job.
