Movin’ on!

Well, folks, this is my last blog posting. I am saying goodbye to my writing career and moving on to my new career as full-time “mom.”  I have decided to concentrate full time on raising my three grandkids who are 11, 14 and 15.  This is a worth-while endeavor that God has given Marc and me, and we are fully dedicated to doing the best job possible. And I have other volunteer activities that I enjoy more such as the neighborhood association, teaching ESL, and walking dogs!

So, just to let you know, I will not write a third book. Thus, I am giving up the website and blog posts, and FB and Twitter book pages. Writing and publishing Backcut and Backfill was a good experience but not one that I want to repeat.  Frankly, I wouldn’t recommend writing a book unless you just want to say to everyone, Hey, I published a book!  I won’t recover the thousands I have spent, but at least I can tell folks that I accomplished something on my bucket list! And hopefully I have educated a few people about environmental issues that are important to me.

Thanks to everyone who has been interested in my books and blog posts.  I appreciate your faithfulness. Many blessings to you! Please keep in touch, in any case.

  2. Your writing is and never will be just writing. It is a collection of your thoughts and dreams. I and Li read the one we got in China. It is part of us as you and Marc are. We will see you one day and discuss it. Love you both.

  3. Cyndi, I completely understand your decision. After 4 books, speaking and trying to publicize my books I needed a new chapter in my life. Now I am heavy into studying my ancestry and have gone back 15 generations. You have made a significant contribution and may never know just how many individuals you have provided with a new vision regarding the environment. Surely dedication to your family should be your major effort which will have life changing experiences for them. I have learned so much from your blogs, reading your books, and having communication with you. I hope that we can continue to keep in touch. Thank you for your compassion and effort to write both your blog, website and your books. I pray God blessings for all your family in the days to come. Winnie Williams

  4. Cynthia,
It’s been such an honor to know you as a writer. I’ll never forget the time you came and signed and sold books at our Driven concert in Cibolo. Like you’re experiencing, my band Driven had a “season of service” and it was challenging to let it go and move on to the next season. I’m so happy for your writing TWO books! It’s a wonderful accomplishment and not merely a check on a bucket list! I’m honored to have “read Cynthia Levesque”. God WILL bless you and your husband in this next season of service. Best wishes to you!! Pam McHenry

  5. Continue to write – journal your experiences of grandparenting…more and more are taking on that awesome and rewarding responsibility! They are beautiful! God bless you with this new ministry.
